Review by hotel critic
As a historian with a passion for medieval architecture, my recent stay at Penzion Skoupil in the beautiful Moravian countryside was nothing short of enchanting. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink and the owner's charming hospitality set the tone for our experience. The guestrooms, with their laptop-friendly workspaces and free WiFi, provided a comfortable retreat after days spent exploring the nearby cultural highlights like Breclav Synagogue and Municipal Museum and Gallery. Our mornings began with a delightful breakfast in the restaurant, where we savored Moravian cuisine paired perfectly with wines from the Penzion Skoupil vineyards. The private balcony offered panoramic views of Velké Bílovice, local vineyards, and the Palava Hills, creating a picturesque backdrop for our stay. The staff's attentiveness and the variety of outdoor activities, including vineyard tours and tastings, added a personalized touch to our trip. The availability of bicycles for rent allowed us to further explore the charming surroundings and cycle through the scenic vineyards. The modern amenities in the room, from the well-equipped bathroom to the cozy sitting area, ensured a comfortable stay. We appreciated the attention to detail, such as the free breakfast buffet and the on-site restaurant serving delicious meals.Penzion Skoupil surpassed our expectations, offering a blend of history, comfort, and warm hospitality that left a lasting impression. Whether you are a wine enthusiast, a history buff, or simply seeking a serene getaway in the Moravian countryside, this gem of a guesthouse and winery is sure to provide a memorable stay.
